Every morning after I say my morning prayers I meditate using the Abide app. One of the topics was "It's ok to not be ok." I never considered this. Somedays I feel like I am on top the world and willing to handle anything that life throws at me. Other days I am exhausted and irritable. Some times dinner is planned out for the week, and some weeks I am throwing something together last minute. Psalm 25: 16-17 says, "Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish. Look on my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins." David was writing about his troubles and burdens, and asking God for guidance. Everyday we face our own struggles and trials and by the grace of God we make it through. You have a purpose, God has already written it out for you. Yes there will be bad times and trials, but God is bigger than all of that. No one is happy at every moment. that is why we lean on God for his strength. The next time you feel like giving up, don't. Instead go somewhere quiet and ask God to put his hand on your situation. He was there for David and he will always be there for you. I enjoyed the mediation so much that I shared it to my Facebook page because someone needed to hear it. There are people that are struggling is silence and feeling lonely.
