Embracing The Real You
I have been reading a life changing book by Marshawn Evans Daniels, 100 Days of Believing Bigger. Each day there is a scripture, explanation of the scripture, a journal topic, and a closing prayer. Today's scripture was Romans 12 : 6-7, In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. if you are a teacher, teach well. This scripture speaks volume. Basically, you should be who you are made to be. Sometimes we are worried or jealous about the gifts that other people have. Listen, you are one of a kind and God made you in his image with a special gift. There is no need to pretend to be something you are not. Don't let the standards of this world put limitations on you and your gifts. You are destined for greatness. That does not mean that there will not be hard times, but God is bigger than any situation. You will come out stronger. If you could see yourself the way God sees you... honey you would show out. My grandfather always said, " Keep God first and everything else will fall into place." When we keep God first there is no self-hate. You take the time to get to know who you were created to be and let the self-doubt go. This is the year of believing bigger, because God is a God of abundance. You just have to have faith. Some may say it's easier said than done, but prayer changes things. I believe in you! You will win in the end, because you were created by the most high. Have you been using your gift? Are you embracing the real you? Take a moment and think about it. From here on out let's agree to stop dimming our light, and use our gift the way God meant for us to. He loves you and I love you too!
