Napa Valley
I had the pleasure of visiting Napa Valley. It was an amazing experience. The weather was perfect, friendly people, and the wine was amazing. My favorite vineyard that we visited was Pine Ridge Vineyards. They make the best Cabernet Sauvignon I have ever tasted and they have a cave 100 feet below the ground for the wine. It was amazing! We celebrated birthdays, enjoyed time off from parenting duties, ate lots of great dishes and desserts, and learned a lot about the wine making process. Time away is so important and I believe everyone should take time to reset and enjoy something they love. This was my first time on the west coast and honestly I never adjusted to the time. Every morning I woke up 3am PST which is my normal 6am Eastern time. If you are planning to visit Napa keep in mind that mornings and evenings can be cool so pack a jacket. Make reservations for your vineyards in advance. Some vineyard require a deposit or you have to pay in full in advance. Make sure you eat breakfast before you start wine tasting. It’s no fun getting sick one vineyard in. If you have a large group and you do not have lunch or dinner reservations Oxbow Market has something for everyone. Ask questions and enjoy the experience.
